Course Outline & Fees

The French language course offered by El Interprete has three levels as follows:

1. Beginners
2. Intermediate
3. Advance

Each level runs for a period of four months:

BEGINNER LEVEL

  • Duration: 4 months
  • These will be CD-based classes
  • These classes will be taught in English and French to help students acquire a knowledge and confidence in French, build the student’s vocabulary by enriching it.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

  • Duration: 4 months
  • These will be CD based classes. The classes will use the advance level CDs
  • These classes will also be taught in English and French. The purpose of these classes is to help the student become more confident in speaking French, becoming more fluent with grammar and conversation in French to prepare for the advance level which is entirely in French.

ADVANCE LEVEL

  • Duration: 4 months

As the students have gone through beginner’s and intermediate levels and are now confidence in vocabulary, grammar and conjugation i.e. the flow of the French language and its structure, the Advance level will now be introduced.

  • This level will be taught in French ONLY. No words of English will be used in this level by the supervisor.

FEE STRUCTURE – MONTHLY RATE

(1) INDIVIDUAL CLASSES

  • 1 student – Kshs 5,000

(2) GROUP CLASSES

You form your group of:

  • 5 Students – you pay: Kshs 4,000 per student
  • 10 Students – you pay: Kshs 3,500 per student

The more you are as a group, the cheaper the fee! Different packages can be negotiated for schools and companies seeking bundled training for students or employees.

EXAMS AND CERTIFICATES

After completion of all of their levels with us, our enrolled students can book and sit for a final exam at Alliance Française (Nairobi) and obtain an International Certificate in French.

ADVANCED TRAINING COURSES

We offer training for those who would like to pursue a carrier as French – English Interpreters / Translators or for those who would like to pursue a carrier as French – English Teachers.
